tea-store.us website (the “website”) sells products to you subject to the conditions set out on this page. By using this website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below.
Our aim is to provide the very best customer service that we can.
1. Despatch and delivery
Goods should be despatched within three business days of ordering. If an item is out of stock and we are unable to despatch it within five business days, we will advise you by email as soon as possible after the receipt of your order and offer you a full refund or partial shipment of your order.
Delivery times and estimates are subject to receipt of an order before the daily cut-off point. From dispatch, the courier is responsible for meeting their delivery guarantees and estimates (please see the Delivery info).
Should any item you purchase from this website fail to meet your complete approval, please return it to us in original saleable condition within 14 days of receipt, and we will give you a refund of the item’s cost excluding postage costs.
Refunds will be credited to your original method of payment:
- credit or debit card – we shall refund your money back onto the same payment card. Refunds normally take 3-5 working days to show in your account.
- gift card, or money card – we shall refund your money back onto your payment card.
- vouchers – we shall refund your money back onto the payment card, or give you the equivalent value in Loyalty card points.
Any Loyalty card points earned on an item you return will be removed from your Loyalty card account.
If you are returning all of your order, we shall refund your delivery charge in full. If you are returning some of your products, your delivery charge will not be refunded. For products purchased as part of an offer, your refund will be based on the promotional price.
We work hard to ensure every item arrives to you in perfect condition. If any of our items arrive faulty, of unsatisfactory quality or unfit for purpose, please contact customer services via email.
Please note that items must be returned with all of the labels. Please also package the product securely before returning it.
International and outside London zones 1-2 purchases can only be returned by post. If your item was delivered by courier within London zones 1-2, we can arrange for a courier to collect it. Please contact our customer services via email with this respect, to let us know when colleting of the item is convenient. You are required to return unwanted orders at your own cost
Under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 citizens of the EU can cancel their orders at any time before the expiry of the period of seven working days after the receipt of your order. If you cancel your order under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000, we will refund the purchase price of the item(s) affected and the delivery charges.
When returning any items using the post services, please allow 28 days from the day the parcel is posted for your refund to be processed. We will email you to let you know once your parcel has been received and your refund has been processed.
Your statutory rights will not be affected by these provisions at all.
3. Pricing and availability
The prices shown on our website include any sales tax at the prevailing rate for which we are responsible as the seller and are subject to change without notice. The amount you pay will be the price indicated plus any delivery charges. Postage is calculated according the weight of the order and the destination. We try to ensure that this is current and accurate for the destination but reserve the right to amend if neccessary.
We continually update our online store, and we shall take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. We reserve the right to refuse orders where product information has been mis-published, including prices and promotions.
Although the goods are subject to availability,we shall always do our best to cater for your orders. If we happen to find ourselves not able to provide a required quantity of goods ordered, we shall contact you via email as soon as possible, to offer a substitute or to arrange the refund for the items we are unable to provide.
When ordering goods for delivery outside the UK , you are responsible for ensuring compliance with the laws of the importing country and for paying all applicable customs duties, taxes and import charges.
5. Your Account
If you use the website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer to prevent unauthorised access to your account. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You should take all necessary steps to ensure that the password is kept confidential and secure and should inform us immediately if you have any reason to believe that your password has become known to anyone else, or if the password is being, or is likely to be, used in an unauthorised manner.
Please ensure that the details you provide us with are correct and complete and inform us immediately of any changes to the information that you provided when registering. You can access and update much of the information you provided us with in the ‘my account’ area of the website.
We shall take all reasonable care, in so far as it is within our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the website.
Tea store reserves the right to refuse access to the website, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders at our discretion. If we cancel an order, it will be without charge to you. Non-acceptance of an order may, for example, result from one of the following:
- The product ordered being unavailable from stock
- Our inability to obtain authorisation of payment
- The identification of an error within the product information, including price or promotion
If there are any problems with your order we shall contact you. We reserve the right to reject any offer to purchase by you at any time.
6. Your Conduct
You must not use the website in any way that causes, or is likely to cause, the website or access to it to be impaired in any way. Neither may you cause it to be changed or modified in any way.
Tea store will not be responsible for any loss arising from the use of this website or in respect to the purchase of any goods hereunder.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts.
If any of these provisions are held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Product Terms which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Alteration of Service or Amendments to the Conditions
We reserve the right to make changes to our website, policies, and these Conditions at any time.
10. Gift Vouchers
Our gift vouchers are valid for one use
Our gift vouchers can only be redeemed against products on tea-store.us
Our gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash or spent on additional gift vouchers
Only one gift voucher can be used per order
If the value of the gift voucher is larger than the value of the order, we are unable to refund the balance
If the order value is higher than the gift voucher amount then the balance must be paid by one of our alternative payment methods – credit, debit card or Paypal.
